About Us

Taylin Kennels began as my childhood dream. I have always loved Pekingese and desired to show. Once our children were grown enough that I could devote the time required to conditioning and showing I acquired my first show dog. From there my passion grew, I acquired a second male and continued showing – learning all the time and absorbing as much information as I could from anyone that would take the time to help me. I have had wonderful mentors and a few years later decided I was ready to breed my own. After purchasing a dog that I developed severe health issues I vowed that health would be paramount in anything I breed. I selected my breeding stock very carefully – we don’t want diluted health issues - we want the healthiest dogs possible that will live full lives and bring years of joy to those that acquire a Pekingese from our kennel. Taylin Pekingese is a small family kennel located in Holyrood, Newfoundland, just a short 45 minutes from St.John’s Interntional Airport. Our mission is to breed healthy, sound and correct Pekingese. Our dogs live in our home at our feet. We have been actively showing since 2012 and are executive members of The National Pekingese Club Of Canada and The Western Canada Pekingese Club.

• Please note, Pekingese cannot be shipped in cargo and any dog or puppy purchased from our kennel must be picked up at our home by the purchaser or we can discuss delivery. Pekingese must fly as a pet in cabin which can be added to your flight.
